Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

The Headteacher's SEND Welcome

St. George's Cathedral Catholic Primary School sets high expectations of students’ and staff to ensure the young people in our community always have access to an education that offers them the best possible outcomes.

STGCS is an inclusive school. We strive to offer educational opportunities and learning experiences for students’ with SEND; enabling them to access the full curriculum and supporting them to reach their full potential.

We fulfil this by providing tailored support in the form of quality first teaching, interventions; training and resources; as well as making adaptations to suit the needs of our learners. STGCS strives to ensure that all students’ succeed regardless of their starting points.

In my role:

  • I work with the SENDCo and SLT to determine the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision in the school.
  • I have overall responsibility for the provision and progress of learners.

Kind regards,

Mrs. Chabvuka
