At St George's Cathedral Catholic Primary School, we understand the importance of reliable, affordable childcare that supports busy family life. Our Wraparound Care provision offers a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment before and after the school day, giving children opportunities to socialise, play, learn and relax with their friends.

Our provision is available during term time and is run by familiar school staff who know our children well.

Breakfast Club

Our Breakfast Club provides children with a positive and calm start to the school day.

Opening Times

• The school gate opens at 7:45am.
• Children should arrive by 8:15am if they wish to have breakfast.
• From 8:30am, children enjoy supervised outdoor play (weather permitting) until the start of the school day at 8:45am.
• The cost is £2.50 per child, per day.

Breakfast Menu

Children can enjoy a healthy and nutritious breakfast each morning, including:

• A selection of cereals
• Toast with a range of spreads
• Fresh fruit
• Fruit juice or water
• Porridge or baked beans on colder mornings

We believe a healthy breakfast helps children arrive in class ready to learn and make the most of their day.

Bookings and Payments

All Breakfast Club places must be booked and paid for in advance via the Arbor Parent Portal. This helps us ensure appropriate staffing levels and maintain high standards of safeguarding and care.

Please note that the breakfast charge covers the childcare provision. There is no additional charge for food.

After-School Club

Following changes to our external childcare arrangements, St George's Cathedral Catholic Primary School now offers an in-house After-School Club for families requiring childcare at the end of the school day.

The club provides children with a fun, safe and relaxed environment where they can take part in a variety of activities with friends.

Opening Times

• Monday to Friday during term time
• From the end of the school day until 4:30pm
• £5 per child, per day

Please note that the club does not operate on the final day of term before the Christmas, Easter or Summer holidays, when we break up at 1pm.

Activities

Children will have access to a range of enjoyable activities, including:

• Arts and colouring
• Construction and creative play
• Board games and puzzles
• Sports and physical activities
• Reading opportunities
• Homework and independent study

Our aim is to provide a calm and enjoyable environment where children can relax, learn new skills and spend time with their friends after school.

Food and Refreshments

Parents and carers are welcome to provide their child with a healthy snack for After-School Club.
The school does not provide food as part of this provision; however, fresh drinking water will be available throughout the session.

Bookings and Payments

All places must be booked and paid for in advance through the Arbor Parent Portal.

Unfortunately, children who are not booked in advance will not be able to attend. Advance booking enables us to maintain safe staffing ratios and ensure that every child receives the highest standard of care.

Booking Through Arbor

All Wraparound Care sessions, including Breakfast Club and After-School Club, must be booked through the Arbor Parent Portal.

Using Arbor allows parents and carers to:

• Book childcare sessions
• Make secure online payments
• View upcoming bookings
• Manage their child's wraparound care arrangements in one convenient place
