This afternoon in RE we had a discussion around Louis Armstrong’s song we sang for assembly. We talked about why he wrote it, who he wrote it for and what the song means. Singing is a form of praising God just like in the psalms.
Next, we explored the school grounds for things that God created. Some of the children noticed some amazing things. As the wind brushed against us, one of the children said it was like God breathing. We admired the beautiful sky God created and wondered why he chose the colour blue.
Finally, we collected some of the wonderful things God created and sat in a circle to describe what we found.
