At St. George’s Cathedral Catholic Primary School we believe that children achieve most when learning is rooted in rich, meaningful, real life experiences. Visits to museums, galleries, zoos, markets, shops and other places of interest are a core part of the curriculum at St. George’s and form the basis of work of quality and depth.
We have a huge wealth of resources – both on our doorstep (such as Globe Theatre, National Portrait Gallery, River Thames, Southbank and Imperial War Museum) and further afield – which can bring learning to life for every child.
We also regularly have visits from a variety of specialists who put on performances or workshops for the children. Examples include theatre workshops and artists coming in for projects.
Please look at our class pages to see the wide variety of exciting visits and visitors that we have enjoyed so far this year and don’t forget to check the calendar and curriculum newsletters to find out what’s coming up.
